Though it didn’t invent the pretzel roll, Houston’s Slow Dough Bakery certainly is responsible for its popularity. I’ve lost count of how many restaurants build their sandwiches on Slow Dough pretzel rolls.

Try this drink at the first Great Tequila Shootout

At Saturday’s inaugural Great Tequila Shootout, several dozen tequila makers will vie for several honors, including best tequila cocktail.

The Shootout will be 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Hughes Hangar, 2811 Washington.

Entertainment will include music by the Kevin Charles
Band and Los Skarnales, as well as Wild West re-eanactments by the Wolf Creek Pistoleros and a buffalo-wing-eating contest.
